Commemoration of International Nelson Mandela Day through soccer to promote Social Cohesion
17 July 2022: Following violent attacks on foreign nationals, The Migration Multi Partner Trust Fund collaborated with the Bredarsdorp Community Policing Forum, Bredasdorp municipality, Overberg district Municipality, Government Communications and Information Systems (GCIS) and Community Development Workers to host a soccer tournament with the aim of promoting Social Cohesion between community members and migrants residing in the township of Zwelitsha – Western Cape Province., the tournament was attended by over 500 community members including foreign national participated in the tournament to promote social cohesion and peaceful coexistence.
