Purpose of the Assignment
The development of standardized tools for the identification and assistance of victims of trafficking and for the prosecution and adjudication of cases of trafficking in light of the existing provisions of the penal code in force; and a standardized operating procedure (SOP) offering a multi-stakeholders support workflow according to the context, aimed at providing a pool of national stakeholders with standardized means and tools to improve the identification, and the referral of victims of trafficking, as well as the prosecution and adjudication of cases of trafficking in Mauritius

Scope of the Assignment
IOM is seeking the services of a Consultant to develop standardized tools for the identification and assistance of victims of trafficking and for the prosecution and adjudication of cases of trafficking, as well as a standardized operating procedure aimed to facilitate the workflow of a pool of national stakeholders (social workers, law enforcementt officials , representatives of civil society organizations, providers of assistance services for human trafficking cases).

The assignment will be undertaken under the overall supervision of the IOM Head of Office, in close coordination with the IOM Mauritius Mauritius Programme Assistant and IOM Experts. As work progress, the Consultant will share expected delivery results with the IOM for review. IOM will ensure to provide timely comments to the Consultant’s work and address any Consultant’s request (i.e. additional information, government contacts, etc.).
